BEHIND THE SCENES:
Album recordings and mixing (all digital) have been made at Inferno Studios during isolated sessions between June 2006 and October 2007,
for a total ammount of nearly 80 hours of work. Due to Gabriele's personal problems, bass guitar has been played by a past member of Oblivion999,
Riccardo Franzoni (Franz).
Except from
Daniele Gaetani from
Red Pill, who managed the recordings and mixing processes, some other people collaborated to the recordings of the album:
Caterina Venturelli (female vocals),
Max Boni (keyboards), and - from Red Pill too -
N.i.n.o (technical assistance, booze and friendship).
Loops have been composed by Nicolò Messori and Diego Angeli, and ambiences have been created by Diego Angeli and Stefano
Crotti, using also some samples from the
Freesound Project ), all mentioned in the cd credits.
The artwork, just like this website, has been created by
Francesco Sirotti.

Total running time: 23:00 Minutes
LINE UP:
Alessandro Guidi : Vocals
Diego Angeli : Guitars
Francesco Poggi : Guitars
Riccardo Franzoni : Bass
Shanti Strafinger : Drums
BEHIND THE SCENES:
The songs of the demo were composed between 1999 and 2000, mainly created by Die and Franz and then arranged in the rehearsal room by the whole group. Arrangements are very variegated, but the feeling of the whole work remains stable over all the 23 minutes of the whole running time.
The demo has been recorded in two days (one for the rhythm section, and another for the guitars and the vocals), and then has been mixed in a third day (so, in the periode between 24 and 26 May 2001, in TMB Rockhouse Studios in S. Damaso, Modena). Produced by Marco Bellucci and Francesco Chillemi, analog recordings and mixing, digital mastering.
Artwork by Shanti Strafinger and
Riccardo Franzoni (Franz).
Photography by
Roberto Malaguti.
PROMOTION:
Even if, due to all the adverse circumstances that followed its publication, the demo had never been promoted in the real sense of the word, except for the appearance in the websites vitaminic.it and neroopaco.it (that both awarded it as the best death metal album of the year), Paths Of Denial unexpectedly reached a lot of countries, that seem to have enjoyed its sound. Without sending any e-mail, European and worldwide fanzines and production labels requested interviews and copies of the demo for commercial use. Though artistic honesty imposes us to tell that between all this countries no one is famous for its large metal scene (even if some exceptions exist), and that, most of all, the mighty Scandinavian Land miss, in the end we are much more than satisfied for what happened to Paths Of Denial. We did spread our music in Poland (in which Black and Death metal are on the ride), Russia, Chile, Argentina, Turkey, France and Spain.
